 You’ll need self-control for this one because it’s just too tater tot-ing delicious to eat this early in the morning.

I’m sure you all have your favorite recipes that you make often, if not on a weekly basis, either because you love them or because they’re easy to make them. Well this is mine! It’s not only because I LOVE IT but it’s soooo easy to make. I remember the first I made it, my family thought I made some kind of a mistake and that’s why it tasted do good. They have a lot of faith in me, don’t they? But I proved them wrong by making it again and again.





The only secret here, if you could call it that, is to make sure to cut to slice the steak into really thin pieces, then  place it in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes and wrap it well in plastic. Chinese noodles or rice are a delicious accompaniment.

Ingredients

Directions

        3 tablespoons cornstarch, divided

    In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and garlic powder until smooth.

         1⁄2 cup water, plus

    Add beef and toss.

         1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder

    In a large skillet or wok over medium high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until beef reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm.

         1 lb boneless round steak or 1 lb charcoal chuck steak, cut into thin 3-inch strips

    Stir-fry broccoli and onion in remaining oil for 4-5 minutes.

         2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

    Return beef to pan.

         4 cups broccoli florets

    Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and remaining cornstarch and water until smooth; add to the pan.

          1 small onion, cut into wedges

    Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

          1⁄3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce

    Serve over rice.

           2 tablespoons brown sugar

          1 teaspoon ground ginger
          hot cooked rice
